Meaningful Work From Day One
Manage Social Security and Tax processing for all LATAM Mexico Payroll and support personnel regarding IMSS and INFONAVIT processing.
Carry out prompt tax payment processing, correct payments if necessary and deliver information to streamline the company’s resources.
Oversee the processing and reconciliation of Tax and Auditing as it relates to LATAM payroll.

What You Can Expect
IMSS (Social Security) and INFONAVIT (Housing National Fund)
*Calculation and payments of IMSS, INFONAVIT.
Validate medical leaves and INFONAVIT credits being included in the payroll
Make a sampling to validate the correct payroll calculation of taxes of social security
Keep the companies updated with local registrations
Coordinate with Safeguard and HR the review, register and submission in the IMSS portal of Safeguard, affiliation movements (hires, dismissals, salary modification, data base)
Review and coordinate the correct calculation and notification to the IMSS of daily integrated salary (bi-monthly) calculated by Safeguard.
Review and coordinate the correct calculation and payment of IMSS, INFONAVIT, determined by Safeguard.
Take care off and review requirements issued by social security agencies (IMSS - INFONAVIT).
Coordinate tax payment with the treasury.
Determine the correct calculation of the work risk rate for the Mexico entities.
Reconciles balance sheet accounts pertaining to IMSS and INFONAVIT payroll calculation
Payroll tax and social security reconciliation (Salesforce).
Payroll Taxes
*Calculation and payments of State Payroll taxes
Validate the correct calculation of taxes (state tax) according to the employee’s city location
Keep the companies updated with local registrations
Review and authorize payroll tax calculation.
Coordinate and reconcile monthly payroll tax calculation with Safeguard
Coordinate tax payment with the treasury.
Reconciles balance sheet accounts pertaining to the local tax’s payroll
Take care off and review requirements issued by the authority.
Local taxes reconciliation (Salesforce).
*Withholding Taxes
Review of payroll taxes calculation
Coordination of the stamping of payroll (CFDIs).
Reconciliation of payroll concepts, vs CFDIs vs tax authority metadata
Employee Withholding Tax accounting reconciliation (Salesforce).
AUDIT (*Payroll/tax audit processing)
Responsible for the Statutory Audit(s) process(es) to keep companies in compliance with the Payroll SS/tax obligations such as Imss, Infonavit, State payroll tax and ee’ WHT Taxes.
Responsible for coordinating the audit firms, preparing information and coordinating
internal teams accordingly to assist with the audit processes, either internal, statutory, fiscal and/or with government agencies.
FONACOT
Review and coordinate with outsource vendor the correct payroll deductions
Keep the companies updated with local registrations
Coordinate payments with the treasury.
Others
Management and coordination of the social security consultant to obtain the best use of this resource.
Updating, improvement and maintenance of IMSS, local tax and other tax processes.
Fiscal and labor updates regarding (IMSS, State Payroll Taxes, Infonavit, Fonacot, EE’s
Income Tax, Teleworking)
Support in payroll processes as needed
Administration of Savings Fund annual process, included but not limited to preparing files of new hires, terminations, withdrawals, and contributions to the saving fund, coordinating loans and settlements, reconciliation of balances, etc.
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelor of Accounting or similar
5+ years of experience in similar roles.
Languages: Proficient in English, oral and written
Proficient in Google apps (sheets, docs, etc.), as well as Excel
Experience with SAP and Workday desirable
Knowledge and experience in general Accounting, Resource Management, Administration, Taxes (local and federal), Labor law (LFT) internal policies and procedures.
Knowledge and experience in payroll processes, compensations, payroll taxes, social security, savings accounts, pension plans.
Partner with other areas to achieve process improvements, achieve goals and meet deadlines.
Ability to provide honest and direct feedback, in a professional manner and in accordance with the values of the company.



Project management skills.
Solid knowledge of SAP and Workday
Discretion to handle confidential information
Oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly discuss payroll issues with employees at different levels in the organization and externally with payroll providers and government agencies.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
